Merrimack Garden Club helps to beautify town

The Merrimack Garden Club has been busy planting, weeding, and watering plants and flowers at gardens around town.

Club members put in extra hard work during this dry summer. They did a great job caring for the plants at the Merrimack Public Library, St. James United Methodist Church, Merrimack Post Office, Watson Park and other locations. They assisted a Daisy troop with its project of planting daisies at the Senior Center.

Members of the garden club recently set out planting at one of the "Welcome to Merrimack" signs in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce. Perennials from members’ gardens, as well as drought-
resistant and hardy native plants purchased at local garden centers, were planted in hopes that rain would soon arrive.

Anyone is welcome to join the club at St. James Church on the fourth Tuesday of each month. For more information, visit
