Business leaders honored by Merrimack Chamber of Commerce

The Merrimack Chamber of Commerce presented its annual Excellence Awards during a gala event at the Courtyard by Marriott Nashua on Sept. 22.

The awards, sponsored by BAE Systems and Enterprise Bank, drew the attention of local business leaders along with some well-known politicians. Letters of commendation were provided by Gov. Maggie Hassan and U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte.

Among the awards presented, Eric Brand, of P&L Landscaping, was named Business Leader of the Year.

"I am very excited about the award," Brand said. "It is very humbling. It is an honor to be among the other community leaders and those that have been selected in the past for making so many contributions to the town."

During a presentation by Elizabeth LaRocca, of Eversource, the presenting sponsor for the event, the chamber recognized these other businesses and business leaders for their outstanding efforts and community service:

? Volunteer of the Year: Pete Giacapuzzi, Merrimack Crimeline.

? Small Business of the Year: JDog Junk Removal & Hauling.

? Business of the Year: Fidelity Investments.

? Chairman’s Award: Bonnie St.Pierre, B. St.Pierre Studio.
