History of the First Church of Merrimack program Tuesday, March 19th

Members of the Merrimack Historical Society will host a presentation on the history of the First Church of Merrimack. The original name of the church was the First Congregational Church and the church building was erected on Baboosic Lake Rd. in 1837. Previous to the construction of the church building, worship was conducted at the Meeting House on Meeting House Rd. Additions were added in both 1964/1965  and 1978/1980.

This program will be presented through the efforts of various members on Tuesday, March 19th.  After the 6:30 business meeting which will be held in the church Fellowship Hall on the 2nd floor, the program about the history of the church will take place in the Sanctuary on the 1st floor at 7 p.m. In addition to the presentation, the audience will be entertained by a quartet and organ music. There will be a display of vintage articles , objects and pictures to enjoy. Parking is available in the lot behind the church with entrance to the building   through the rear door.  The church’s address is 7 Baboosic Lake Road, next to the library and opposite the Town Hall.
