Donald C. Tremblay

Donald C. Tremblay, 87, died peacefully February 13, 2014, in Milford, NH.

He was born July 13, 1926, in Fairfield, ME, to Henry and Blanche Tremblay. He has resided in Mont Vernon for the past 51 years. Don worked at Ingersoll Rand in Nashua, NH, for many years and has enjoyed retirement since 1986. “Poppo,” as he was affectionately called, was a man that lived an honest, loyal and trustworthy life. A man that was clear with his words, you always knew where you stood with Poppo. He loved Phyllis, his wife, of 64 years.

He is survived by his children, Wayne Tremblay of Mont Vernon, Mark Tremblay of Milford, Germaine Colburn of Hillsboro and Janice French of Hampstead. He was predeceased by his son, Paul, in 2008. He was very proud of his seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Poppo loved spending time at his home and in his yard. You could always count on a friendly smile and brisk wave as you passed his house. He lived life with a positive attitude and optimistic outlook, sometimes having his contagious confidence appear as luck.

The family plans a spring burial at Green Lawn Cemetery, Mont Vernon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made in his name to the Mont Vernon Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
