Heather Kyte, 67, of Milford, New Hampshire, died Saturday, March 22, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack New Hampshire following a short illness.
She was born on February 3, 1947, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and was the daughter of Beatrice Mehl and the late Daniel Mehl. Heather was a graduate of Haverhill High School.
She was married in 1983 to Thomas Kyte, of Waltham, Massachusetts, and has lived in New Hampshire for the last 30 years.
Heather’s passion for animal welfare lead her to rescuing birds and dogs. Several years later, she opened a dog rescue called Annie’s Place All Breed Rescue, located in Milford, NH. Over the course of the last 10 years, Heather placed over 1,000 animals in forever homes.
If not tending to the animals, Heather could be found spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters, Rebekah Anderson and her husband Michael, Jenny Garby and her husband Thomas, both of Milford, NH, and Lisa Soucy and her husband Sean of Salem, NH. She also had five grandchildren, Julia, Kathryn and Joshua Anderson, Emma Garby, and Logan Soucy; two sisters, Judith Forman and her husband Harvey, Sherry Graham and her husband Thomas; and 9 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Wendy (Johnston), and her brother, Barry Mehl.
