Charles Henry Kane
Charles Henry Kane, 74, formerly of Amherst and Merrimack and most recently Litchfield NH, died peacefully on April 1st in Bradenton, Florida after battling health issues for several months.
Born May 9, 1939 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Charlie was the only son of the late Frederick Leo and Julia Kane. He was a veteran of the US Army and Army National Guard, attending Northeastern University on the GI bill. An Electrician by trade, he spent most of his life working on Marine and Aviation Electronics aboard both Military and Civilian ships and planes. He had a lifelong fascination with and mastery of military aircraft. An avid technology fan, he remained fascinated and engaged with technology his entire life. He was also a fan of all types of music, especially jazz, owning a significant collection. He enjoyed fishing for most of his life as well and appreciated all kinds of motorsports, including NASCAR.
He is predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Lorraine F. (Labier) Kane and is survived by his current wife, Charlene (Guarino) Kane; his children and their spouses, Laura and Robert France of Carlisle, MA; Daniel and Beth Kane of Nashua, NH; Kathleen and Robert Kozakoff of Yulee, FL; and David and Catherine Kane of Wilmington, MA. He is also survived by his only cousin, Phillip Kane of Plymouth MA, and nine grandchildren: Anthony, Olivia and Victoria Kane of Nashua, NH; Mitchell and Allyson Kozakoff of Yulee, FL; Robert and Benjamin France of Carlisle, MA; and Lindsey and Gillian Kane of Wilmington, MA.
