Richard R. LaRosee Sr.

Richard R. LaRosee Sr., age 76, died May 03, 2014, at home, with family at bedside, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Waltham, MA, son of James R. LaRosse Sr. and Eva Marie (Cormier) LaRosee.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Elizabeth Kelly LaRosee; children, Richard R. Jr. and Sarah LaRosee of Milford, NH, Dawn LaRosee, LongMont, CO, Lisa LaRosee Griffiths, Milford, NH, Lynne and Robert Steele, New Smyrna Beach, FL, Jacqueline and Chris Hebbh, Buzzards Bay, MA, Michael and Kathryn Shea, Temple, NH, and Maureen and Curt Fitton, Raymond, NH; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is survived by his brother, Henry LaRosee, Sterling, MA; his sisters, Janet and Victor Foutch, Tulsa, OK, and Doris Logan, Fall River, MA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Macarelli, Amherst, NH, Leo and Shay Kelly, Eagle Creek, OR, and Mark and Christina Walker, Seabrook, NH. He was predeceased by brother, James R. LaRosee Jr.; and sister, Lorraine LaRosee.

Richard graduated from Waltham High School, Waltham, MA, where he loved his football, Brewster Academy, Wolfeboro, NH, and attended Boston College. He also attended Lee Institute of Real Estate and Naples School of Real Estate in Naples, FL. He was a carpenter-contractor, and builder in residential and commercial construction.

Richard loved his family and was both loved and respected by so many people. Known as a mentor, and calming, caring, kind, gentle, hardworking man. He will be missed greatly by all of us. We feel blessed that we knew and loved him. Our spiritual bond will continue and will eternally live in our hearts and souls.

Per his request there are no services. He donated his body to MedCure for scientific research and medical education. His wishes “Not to mourn my passing, just don’t forget I had a part in their lives.”
