Patricia Ann Chappell (Gibbons)
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Patricia Chappell, 67, of Apache Junction, AZ, passed into the Lord’s arms on May 27th, 2014, after a brief battle with a sudden illness. She had persevered through many health issues over the past decade until she succumbed to her final illness.
Pat was born in Nashua, NH, on September 7th, 1946. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Sr., her mother, Gabrielle, and her brothers: Ba (Bernard Jr.), Cutter (Henry), and Big Al (Allan). Pat’s spirit and legacy of love will live on through her husband of 45 years: Lewis, her daughters: Pamela (Peter) Kline and Karen (Gregg) Elder, her cherished grandchildren: Caitlin, Matthew, Zabric, and Athena, her sisters: Peggy and Elaine and her brother, Jimmy, as well as many loving relatives and friends.
Pat moved from New Hampshire to Arizona 34 years ago with her family. Pat and her husband, Lewis, enjoyed their valley home and their home in the White Mountains for many years. Recently, they had taken a cross-country road trip from AZ to NH in their RV and were looking forward to repeating that journey this summer to return to Milford, NH, to attend their 50th high school class reunion.
Pat was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, AZ, in the family plot following the funeral mass that was held at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Phoenix, AZ. In her remembrance donations may be made to Saint George’s Catholic Church in Apache Junction, AZ, the American Diabetes Association (800) 342-2383 or the American Heart Association (800) 242-8721. May her soul rest in peace of Christ.
