Norma M. (Scotto) Machado

Machado, Norma M. (Scotto), of Eliot, ME passed away Thursday, July 10th at the Hyder Family Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Ralph Machado of 51 years; loving mother of Donna Sargent and her husband Donald, of Wilton, NH, Bambi Hutchinson and her husband Greg, of Wilton, NH; and her son, Geno Martin, of Wilton, NH, stepdaughter Joyce Boske, of California; devoted sister to Sandra Siraco and her spouse Deborah Blume. Norma is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-
grandchildren.

Norma was born in Plymouth, MA, December 9, 1938, daughter of the late Louis and Agnes P. (Macagno) Scotto, and lived in Plymouth before moving to New Hampshire and Maine seacoast.

Norma was an accomplished artist, member of the New Hampshire Art Association, signature member of the American Pastel Society and former member of the Copley Art association, was instrumental in creating Art Round Town and served as a board member of the New Hampshire Art Association. Extremely skilled in her use of pastels her works are displayed throughout many galleries in the Seacoast area as well as in New England and abroad.

Norma shared her love of the ocean and boating with her husband Ralph as well as her love of the Italian culture.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 17th from 1-4 p.m. with prayers at 4 p.m. at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth NH.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be made to the New Hampshire Art Association, 136 State St., Portsmouth, NH 03801.
