Edward Lloyd Mack
Edward Lloyd Mack, 78, resident of Milford, NH, died on August 1, 2014 at his home from lung cancer.
Mr. Mack was born in Pittsfield, NH, on March 24, 1936, a son of Lloyd and Emma (Reynolds) Mack. Edward was raised and educated in Amherst, NH. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1954 He was honorably discharged from the Air Force as a Airman 1st Class in 1957.
Mr. Mack worked for Currier Lumber Company. After retiring, he worked independently as a logger throughout New Hampshire. He loved working in the woods with his skidder and made his own wood-splitter and built his own dump bodies on his trucks. He could fix anything mechanical, made furniture for his home, and, in the last years of his life, he built a large barn by himself. He had the old school New Hampshire “go-get-’em” attitude and once he made up his mind to do something, it was done. He was a member of the American Legion of Milford.
He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Donald, and Margo Maurer Mack, his wife by his first marriage. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Parker Mack of Milford, NH; his son, Roy D. Mack and his wife, Elizabeth Ramirez, of Edgewater, MD; and, his sister, Sandy Mack Lavander of Amherst, NH. He is also survived by his step-daughter, Cynthia (Andrew) Pelletier; his grandchildren, Isabella Margo Mack, Jeffrey Pelletier and Toni Pelletier (Dean) Bobenrieth; and, many nephews and nieces.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway (Rte. 3), Boscawen, NH 03303 (please arrive by 1:45 p.m.). Condolences may be emailed to his family at: email@example.com.
