Gladys A. Blanchette

Gladys A. Blanchette of Milford, NH, died Thursday, September 4, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH, at the age of 76, with her loving family by her side.

Gladys was born in Goffstown, NH, on June 15, 1938, to Granville A. and Elsie H. (Wood) Stearns and lived for most of her life in Wilton, NH. When Gladys was not working as an Emergency Dispatcher for Base 500 or later as a customer service agent for the Wilton Phone Company, she found delight in music and literature. She also served as a committee member for Wilton Old Home Days, organizing the event for several years.

She was a loving mother to her two children, Paul L. Blanchette II and Pam Blanchette of Milford, and a caring grandmother to her only grandson, Maxwell Blanchette of Milford. She often cherished time she spent with them, especially on holidays when they were all together.

Gladys was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Paul L. Blanchette Sr., and her sister, Annie Blood. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Blanchette of Milford; her son and his wife, Paul L. II and Linda Blanchette; and their son, Maxwell Blanchette of Milford; her sister, Ella Demass of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews, who will forever celebrate the gift of her life.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wilton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Milford SHARE program at SHARE Outreach, Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH, 03055, or online at JustGive.org.
