Stephen J. Mudgett Sr.

WILTON, NH/PORT RICHEY, FL – Stephen J. Mudgett Sr., 73, of Wilton, NH and Port Richey, FL died suddenly Monday morning September 22, 2014 while visiting family in Lancaster, NH.

Mr. Mudgett was born in Meredith, NH, on April 29, 1941. His mother, Adella Mudgett, predeceased him at an early age and he was raised in Woodsville, NH, by his aunt and uncle Alice and Sumner Taylor who have also predeceased him.

At 18 years of age he moved to Milford, NH. He resided there and in Wilton, NH, for many years where he owned and operated S. Mudgett and Sons Paving Company. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and pig pickins. Stephen was a jack of all trades who could fix or repair almost anything. He will be dearly missed.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Florida.

He dearly loved his wife Sherry M. (Blake) Mudgett of Wilton, NH and Port Richey, FL; his two daughters, Robin Savage and her husband Bruce of Lancaster, NH, Anne Fitch and her husband Fred of Orange, VT; his son Stephen J. Mudgett Jr. of Wilton, NH; his 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and his mother-in-law Barbara Blake of Mont Vernon, NH.

At Stephen’s request there are no visiting hours or services.
