Robert E. Provins

BROOKLINE, NH – Robert E. Provins, 80, resident of Brookline, NH, died on November 6, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH.
He was born on January 23, 1934, in Greensburg, PA, a son of Harold and Mary (Cindric) Provins and was raised and educated in Pennsylvania. He made his home in Brookline for the past eight years and formerly lived in Milford for many years.
He was an HVAC Technician and owned Bob’s Appliance Center Refrigeration Specialist in Milford for many years.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a member of the NRA, Pinnacle Mountain Fish and Game Club and the Lions Club. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford.
He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1956 with the rank of Sergeant.
Family members include his wife, Jane (Lorden) Provins of Brookline; three daughters, Jennifer Treacy and her husband, Stephen of Brookline, Maureen Corron and her husband, Rick of Milford and Cathleen Burbee of Brookline; four sons, Steve Provins of Mont Vernon, David Provins of Milford, Frank Burbee and his wife, Laurie of Brookline, Thomas Burbee and his wife, Peg of St. Louis, MO; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mitzi Eisaman of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Friday, November 7th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial with military honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
