Bernard Fortin

Bernard Fortin, 79 of Milford passed away at home surrounded by his family and best pal, Hershey, on November 17th, 2014. Born on September 21, 1935 Bernard graduated from Berthierville College of Saint- Joseph in Montreal in 1953. Bernard served in the US Air force as an airplane mechanic, and then worked for many years in the local apple orchards and as a hydraulics mechanic. Bernard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marie Fortin; a daughter Lisa Henderson, her husband Mark and two grandchildren Brandon and Sable all of Taylorsville, Mississippi. A daughter Kathey Fortin of Milford. A brother Jules H Fortin and his wife Yolande Fortin of Morris, IL. An aunt, Isabelle Ledger of Fitchburg, MA and several nieces and nephews, friends and his two best doggy pals Hershey and Ivy.

Bernard loved to hunt and fish and spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bernard’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project per his wishes. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements. For more information please go to www.csnh.com.
