Eric D. Eckhardt
Eric Desmond Eckhardt, 37, of Wilton, passed away in his sleep Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at his family home.
Eric was born in Peterborough, Nov. 2, 1977, to Michelle and William Eckhardt. He attended Wilton schools and graduated from high school at Pine Ridge School in Vermont followed by Heartwood College of Art. Eric was a beautiful person, being kind to everyone he graced with his presence, and he would give to his family and friends without abandon. He had a passion for creating art in various forms and found great enjoyment in nature, music, literature and films. The greatest thing he gave was his love.
Eric is survived by his greatest love of all, his beloved daughter Ivy Quinn Eckhardt. He is also survived by his parents, Michelle Valley and William Eckhardt and step parents Kevin Valley and Lisa Eckhardt; his brother, Brigham Eckhardt; and his nephew and niece, Dylan and Isabella Eckhardt, to whom he was a fun, caring, loving uncle. He also leaves behind a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St. in Manchester. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. All are welcome to attend a celebration of Eric’s life at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4368 1 VFW Way, Milford, NH 03055 immediately following the service (4 p.m.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to TD Bank for Eric’s daughter, Ivy.
