Sarah A. ‘Sally’ Rocca

Sarah A. “Sally” Rocca 80, of Clearwater, FL, died March 24, 2015. She was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Marlborough, MA, to Dorothy (Reid) and William S. Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Crotty; daughter, Sarah Dyer-
Sullivan; grandson, Michael Dyer; brother, William R. Jones; and second husband, Peter Rocca Sr.

She is survived by her sister, Mollie Pusateri of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Patricia of Lyndeborough; sons, Peter Jr. (Susan) and William Rocca of Clearwater, FL; grandsons, Matthew Dyer of Centerville, VA, and Richard Genther of Clearwater; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Milford for 40 years and St. Cecelia’s in Clearwater, FL, for 14 years.

She graduated from Acton (MA) High School in 1953. After graduation she worked for General Radio before starting her family. She was an active member of the Catholic Club, Altar Rosary Society and Columbiettes. In the Columbiettes she was the 1st Auxiliary and State President in NH. She was a volunteer at St. Cecelia’s, purifying altar linens, rolling bandages and rosary making.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army. Memorial service will be held in June with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Acton, MA.
