Christine Ann Clegg

Christine Ann Clegg, 68, of Temple, died on No­vember 7, 2015 surround­ed by her loving family.

Christine was born in Boston, MA on Septem­ber 27, 1947, the daugh­ter of Robert MacDonald and Dorothy (Melanson) Marchuk.

Christine lived in Bos­ton with her family she adored and attended schools in Boston before moving to Temple when she was 12. She attended Wilton High School, mak­ing lifelong friends.

Christine met her hus­band Peter in Milford and they were married on March 9, 1973. She moved back to Temple where she raised her family. Christine worked for the telephone com­pany in Peterborough, at Millipore in Jaffrey, at Bursey’s in Wilton and Fish Tails in Peterbor­ough. She volunteered at the Temple Library, be­fore becoming a Temple Library Trustee. Being a mother was what she was most proud of.

Christine loved being creative and was very ar­tistic. She had a talent for knitting and painting.

She was known for her humor, sharp wit and sense of adventure. She loved the holidays, Christmas being her fa­vorite. She loved tending her garden, the ocean, reading and cooking. Christine enjoyed every­thing Disney. She loved the classic Disney mov­ies and enjoyed watching them with her grandchil­dren.

Christine is prede­ceased in death by her husband Peter Clegg. She is survived by her children, Tina Clegg of Dublin, Frederick Clegg of Temple, Amanda- Ray Danko of Asheville, NC; her mother, Doro­thy Marchuk of Temple; and her siblings, Rich­ard MacDonald of Nash­ua, Loreen Mondello of Winthrop, MA, Stephen Marchuk of Hancock and Phillip Marchuk of Tem­ple. She will be greatly missed by her grandchil­dren, Riley Emma Cod­man, Edgar August Danko and Paul Herschel Danko, who lovingly called her Gramma and her beloved dog and constant compan­ion Isabella.

A visiting hour will be held on Thursday, Novem­ber 12, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jellison Fu­neral home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough. A Time of Family Remem­brance will take place at 7:00PM.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that me­morial contributions be made in Christine’s name to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health/CHaD.
