Patrick J. Magee

Patrick J. Ma­gee, 79, resident of Mil­ford, NH died January 6, 2016 at his home surround­ed by his loving family.

He was born in Minne­apolis, MN on February 14, 1936, a son of Herbert and Anne (Waite) Magee.

Mr. Magee made his home in Milford for more than 10 years and former­ly lived in Vermont and Oklahoma for many years.

He was an anesthetist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma for 30 years and had also worked at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. In addition, Mr. Magee held many memberships in various professional orga­nizations.

He enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, tech­nology and was an avid Red Sox fan. He also loved to spend time at the ocean and was a member of the New England Lighthouse Lovers.

Mr. Magee was a commu­nicant of Parish of the Res­urrection, Nashua, NH and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a veter­an of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Magee was prede­ceased by a brother, Den­nis Magee.

Family members in­clude his wife, MaryAnn (Sousa) Magee of Milford, NH; three children, Mi­chael Magee of Bedford, NH, Heather Pfriem of Bixby, OK and Brian Ma­gee of Springdale, AR; and seven grandchildren.

Calling hours are on Fri­day, January 8th from 6-8 p.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St., Milford, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad St., Nashua, NH, followed by cremation. Burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, New Hampshire Chapter, P.O. Box 838, Manchester, NH 03101-9715.
