Theresa D. Paradise

>Theresa Doro­thy (Hart) Paradise, 81, of Merrimack, widow of Gerard L. Paradise, passed away Monday eve­ning, August 1, 2016, at the Community Hospice House in Merri­mack after a brief illness.

Born in Milford, NH, on October 1, 1934, Mrs. Paradise was raised and educated in Nash­ua. An Air Force veteran, Theresa served for three years with the Medical Corps as a nurse’s aide in El Paso, Texas, during the Korean War. After the war, she returned to Nashua and was employed for a time at St. Joseph Hospital and Nashua Memorial Hospi­tal.

Theresa and her hus­band Jerry were married on February 28, 1959, at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Merrimack. The cou­ple made their home in the Reed’s Ferry section of Merrimack for many years and shared 47 years together until Jerry’s passing on September 26, 2006. Theresa was a com­municant of Our Lady of Mercy Church and held membership in the Amer­ican Legion Post 98 of Merrimack.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, The­resa is survived by her five children, Linda Rob­inson and her husband Warren of Manchester, David Paradise and his wife Pam of Florida, Gail Paradise of Manchester, Vicki Sarcione of Jaffrey and Kris Paradise and his wife Shan­non of Nashua; six grandchildren, Bryan, Ceria, Jo­seph, Joshua, Gabrielle and Giovanni; a broth­er, Albert Hart; a sister, Gloria Hart; also nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and par­ents, Theresa was prede­ceased by two brothers, Sonny and Gordon Hart.

Calling hours were held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, Thursday, August 4, from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Chris­tian Burial was celebrat­ed in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Baboosic Lake Road in Merrimack, Fri­day morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment took place in Last Rest Cemetery fol­lowed by a luncheon at Our Lady of Mercy Church Hall.
