Betty May Chartier

>Betty May Chartier, 84, resident of Merrimack, NH, died unexpectedly on August 27, 2016, at South­ern NH Medical Center, Nashua, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Milford, NH, on March 6, 1932, a daughter of John P. and Jean (Courage) Bruce.

Betty made her home in Merri­mack for the past 50 years. She was raised and educat­ed in Milford and gradu­ated from Milford High School, Class of 1950.

She enjoyed playing bingo, tole painting, visit­ing Disney World, going to camp and most especially loved spending time with family and friends. In ad­dition, Betty’s favorite holiday was Halloween, she loved decorating the camp and looked forward to the children coming up.

Betty was predeceased by her son, Bruce R. Chartier.

Family members in­clude her loving husband of 58 years, Robert N. Chartier of Merrimack; three children, Valerie Gerlack and her sig­nificant other, Dave Mi­gneault of Vista, CA, Glenn Chartier and his wife, Lynn of Littleton, NH, Lynne Perron and her husband Rod of Goff­stown, NH; four grand­children, Andrea Bois­vert, Beth Tower, Sterling Gerlack and Trina Ger­lack; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Locke, Adam Tower and Keith Locke; sev­eral nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are on Friday, September 2nd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Smith & Heald Funer­al Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
