Hedley Vincent Parsons

Hedley Vincent Parsons, 91, resident of Mont Vernon, NH, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2016.

He was born in his fam­ily home in Mont Vernon on June 17, 1925, the son of Hedley V. Parsons and Nora (Cleary) Parsons.

A World War II Army veteran, Hedley served in the 670th Field Artillery Battalion in France and Ger­many (1944-1946). In 1947 he moved to Alaska where he homesteaded for the next 37 years. He returned to NH in 1984.

He was pre-deceased by two sons, Timothy Parsons and Hedley Vincent Par­sons III.

Hedley is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Jacqueline V. (Kuhn) Par­sons, two daughters, Patri­cia Winegar of Alaska and Priscilla (Sudie) Gauvin of Greenville, NH ,a grand­son Alex J. Gauvin also of Greenville and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday Sep­tember 21, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home 63 Elm St., Milford, NH. Burial will be private in Johnson Cor­ner Cemetery, Lyndebor­ough, NH.
