Shirley E. Boissonnault

Shirley E. Boisson­nault, 80, resident of Wil­ton, NH, died peacefully on September 26, 2016 at Crestwood Healthcare Center, Milford, sur­rounded by her loving family.

She was born in Milford, NH on June 2, 1936, a daughter of John and Frances (Raulding) Bo­honan. Shirley had made her home in the Milford, Am­herst and Ports­mouth during her life, prior to moving to Wilton in 2004.

She had worked as a nurse’s aide at Bel-Air Nursing Home in Goff­stown and at Rich’s De­partment Store in Nashua and waitressing in Ports­mouth, NH for several years.

Shirley was a former longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Milford and was active in the Women’s Pathfind­ers Group, Joe English Grange, Granite Grange and Hillsborough Pomona Grange. In addition, she was a member of Red Hat Club and also enjoyed reading, knitting, crochet­ing and plastic canvas. A loving mother, grand­mother and great grand­mother, Shirley’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leon­ard A. Boissonnault and great-granddaughter, Em­ily Rose.

Family members in­clude three sons, Douglas P. Bois­sonnault of Mil­ford, NH, David B. Boissonnault and his wife, Kel­lie of Wilton, NH, Donald L. Bois­sonnault and his companion, Judy Caron of Pittsburg, NH; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Wallace Hooper; several nieces and nephews.

There are no visiting hours. A memorial ser­vice will be held on Fri­day, September 30th at 11:00am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Burial will follow in Riv­erside Cemetery, Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Home, Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
