Richard Jay Hoar

Richard Jay Hoar, 67, passed away in North Richland Hills, Texas on October 15, 2016.

He was born on June 15, 1949 to Philip and Dorothy Hoar in Burlington, Ver­mont. Richard attended school in New England and went on to graduate from New England Aero­nautical Institute. He married his wife of forty years, June (Blanchard), on October 2, 1976. They have two children togeth­er, Richard and Kelsey, and three precious grand­children, Jay, William and Jane.

Richard always had a passion for airplanes and the wonders of flight. In 1977, Richard and his fam­ily moved to Texas where he had a successful ca­reer at Lockheed Martin for 35 years. Along with his passion for airplanes, Richard enjoyed driving his red Miata, listening to music, watching his fa­vorite sports teams, and spending time with his loved ones.

Richard joins his moth­er, father, brother Phil, and a large network of guardian angels. He is survived by his wife, their children and grandchil­dren, his three sisters (Marilyn, Susan and Ja­net), his brother Steve, and many other dear fam­ily members.

A graveside service was held on November 5th in Riverside Cemetery, 454 Nashua Street, Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
