Louise Ann (Titus) Gilman
Louise Ann (Titus) Gilman, 64, of Milford New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2018 with her sister Diana Titus by her side at Heathwood Healthcare facility in Newton, MA.
Celebration of life services with be held on March 24, 2018 at 10am at the church of the Good Shepard with Reverend Amy McCreath. Casper Funeral services are handling the Cremation arrangements.
Louise was born on January 24, 1954 in Chicopee Fall, MA on the Westover Air Force base where her dad was stationed. She was just one of ten children her parents brought up-8 girls and 2 boys. She was a feisty and imaginative child growing up, constantly getting into mischief by sneaking around and making up or thinking up crazy ideas and schemes. During her school age years she went to Pond Street Elementary School in Ayer, MA. Then B.F. Brown Jr. High and Fitchburg High School as she reached teen years. She was involved with The Rainbow Girls (part of the Eastern Stars) when she was 11 – 13 years old. She even played clarinet in the High School Band. Graduating from Fitchburg High school in 1972. She went on to study hairdressing at Henri’s school for hair. After high school Louise traveled to Rome and even lived in New York for a period of time.
She met Lawrence Joseph Gilman in 1973 and they married in November 5, 1978-Residing in a number of cities in New Hampshire and New Mexico and finally settled in Milford, NH. She continued her search for the right roll, going to school for accounting, hairdressing, and working in nursing care, child care, and finally settled on being a stay at home mom for the majority of her life. She had two children Kimberly born September 16, 1983 and Larry born March 12, 1996. After the kids had grown up she went on to go to college to get her medical assistant degree from Hesser College in New Hampshire in 2006. She became a grandma on January 13, 2012 and then again on September 17, 2017 when her daughter Kimberly had her two sons.
Louise enjoyed taking care of people, crocheting, sewing, making art, reading, coloring, music, singing, the ocean and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Louise was a giving and thoughtful person throughout her life. She was also adventurous, spirited, mischievous, dedicated, loving, family oriented and joyful no matter what-always with a smile on her face. She would give the shirt off her back to her family, friends and even strangers. While batting Caner she still found time in the hospital to crochet hats that she donated to cancer patients.
Louise is preceded by her father Dexter Titus.
Louise is survived by her husband of 40 years Lawrence Joseph Gilman (62), daughter Kimberly (Gilman) Funk (34), son Larry Gilman (21), her mom Nancy Titus (84), all her sisters and Brothers and her grandchildren.
