Keith R. Collins

Keith R. Collins, 70, resident of Brookline, NH, died January 30, 2011 at Crestwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Milford.

He was born in Springvale, Maine on March 4, 1940, a son of Alfred and Arlene (Austin) Dwyer.

Mr. Collins resided in Brookline since 1989 and formerly lived in California for most of his life.

He had been employed by Digital Equipment Corporation in the Technical Support Department for many years and later worked for Wetherbee Plumbing & Heating, Sanel Auto Parts and Stoney’s Garage.

Mr. Collins was active in 4-H and was a leader of sharpshooters. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, working in his woodshop, researching submarines and playing computer games. In addition, he was a member of Purgatory Falls Gun Club, Mont Vernon, NH.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was honorably discharged in 1963.

Family members include his wife, Barbara J. (Meuer) Collins of Brookline, NH; three sons, Brian Collins of NV, Brent Collins of CA and Will Collins of Brookline, NH; a daughter, Shannon Collins of CA; four stepchildren, Debbie Dobrowolski of NJ, Tim Hamilton of Wilton, NH, Michael Hamilton of Antrim, NH and Liam Hamilton of Brookline, NH; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Larry Collins of CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins in California.

There are no visiting hours. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Brookline, NH, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to UNH Cooperative Extension, 329 Mast Road, Room 101, Goffstown, NH 03045, Attn: 4-H Sharpshooters Club.
