Caleb Daniel Arel

Caleb Daniel Arel, 6, of Merrimack passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. He was born on February 26, 2008 in Nashua, NH to Daniel Charlonne, Jr., and Jennifer (Arel) Burbank of Merrimack.

Caleb loved to spend time with his family and was his sister’s number one fan. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his brothers as well, and always looked forward to them coming home from school. He enjoyed Final Fantasy, playing Candy Land, and being a regular comedian. He always had a knock-knock joke up his sleeve. If anyone needed help, he was always the first to volunteer. He loved to give to others and took great pride in creating “Birthday Bags” for the Child Life team at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children. He wanted to be sure every child who had to spend their birthday in the hospital had a special day. He brought joy and laughter to everyone he met and will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, Caleb is survived by two brothers, Wesley Burbank and Michael Charlonne-Arel; a sister, Kaitlin Charlonne-Arel; an aunt, “Auntie” Shannon Arel; an uncle, Travis “Uncle Dude” Arel; maternal grandparents, Richard and Cindy Arel; paternal grandmother; Catherine Winn; and many friends.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, June 7, 2014 at James Mastricola Elementary School Gym, 7 School St., Merrimack, from 11-2 pm. A table will be set up to make birthday bags for Tufts Floating Hospital and donations of birthday supplies are welcomed.

Or for those who wish, memorial donations can be made in Caleb’s memory to the Tufts Floating Hospital for Children, at 800 Washington St., Box 444 Boston, MA 02111, Attention: Andrea Pappaconstantinou.
