Thomas M. Mercier

Thomas M. Mercier, 48, of Merrimack passed away on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.

He was born in South Hampton, NY on May 6, 1966 to the late Michael and Jean (Willette) Mercier.

In his younger years Tom would love to ride his bike from Hampton to Rye and back, play catch in the surf and just walk the beach. Later he would spend most summers with his family at Old Orchard Beach. A lover of the outdoors, lighting fires with friends, playing Frisbee at night with his buds and off road 4-wheeling. Tom loved to cook and grill. A favorite of his was boxing, which he learned from his Dad. Tom will be remembered for his extreme work ethic, but one who always made time for family and friends.

Tom was a graduate of Merrimack High School and has resided in Merrimack for most of his life.

Tom was last employed as a meat cutter for Lemay & Sons Beef in Goffstown, NH.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sharon (April) Mercier of Merrimack; two sons, Nathan and Ryan Mercier, both of Merrimack; three brothers, Richard Mercier and his wife Lisa of Chester, David Slusarczyzk and his wife Norma of Concord, and Steven Slusarczyk and his wife Cheryl of OH; a sister, Marie and her husband Bob Gibeley of Merrimack; and his stepmother, Barbara Mercier of Merrimack; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Last Rest Cemetery, in Merrimack at the convenience of the family.
