Elizabeth H. Craft (Lee)
Elizabeth H. Craft (Lee) beloved wife of Veterinarian Dr. Ralph N. Craft, passed away in her Florida home in Fernandina Beach on May 24,2014.
She was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on December 10, 1919
Elizabeth was the daughter of Stanley and Sophia Hujsak of Merrimack, NH.
Elizabeth was a WWII veteran, and worked as a Airplane and Engineer Mechanic, and during that time she received decorations and citations for Good Conduct, American Campaign Metal and a World War II Victory Metal.
In 1940 she married Ralph, and together they raised four children and set up their business, The Sayville Hospital for Animals on Long Island, New York. They were married for 73 years. After extensive traveling she and Ralph moved from Sayville, NY to the Fernandina Beach area, where she enjoyed gourmet cooking, gardening, fishing, visiting local farmer’s markets and crocheting.
She is survived by her devoted husband Ralph, loving children Elizabeth, Karen, Christopher, nephew Kevin, grandchild Elizabeth beloved sister Phyllis and brothers Edward, Stanley, and Thomas. She was predeceased by her son Ralph Jr. in 1965.
Memorial Service Mass was held May 31, 12pm at St. Johns Catholic Church, followed by Military Funeral Honors, in Fernandina Beach, Fl.
