Raymond A. Cota

Raymond A. Cota, 92, of Merrimack, NH died Aug. 3, 2014 at the Bedford Hills Center after a period of declining health.

He was born in Northfield, NH, on Aug. 24, 1921, a son of the late Reuben and Alice (Ricker) Cota.

He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp during World War II in England.

Ray and his late wife Iris (Mason) Cota moved to Merrimack in 1946.

He was employed by J.E. Faltin as a tractor trailer driver and later worked at Hemingway Transportation. He was a retiree of Teamsters Local 633, and also worked as a bus driver and trainer in Merrimack for many years.

He held a lifetime membership in the American Legion, actively involved in various positions with the Teamsters and held an unofficial seat at Ruthie’s Postal Parlor restaurant.

Ray was also pre-
deceased by his brothers and sisters, and also a granddaughter, Barbara J. Cota.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Dorothy Cota, of Merrimack; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Maurice Boudreau, of Merrimack; a brother and sister-
in-law, Roy Sr. and Fern Cota, of Hillsboro; along with several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Friday August 8 from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at Rivet Funeral Home on Saturday August 9 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Last Rest Cemetery, Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack.
