Perley ‘Barney’ Rogers

Perley “Barney” Rogers, 81 of Merrimack, NH died Sept. 19, 2014 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH from injuries sustained from a fall in January.

He was born in Linneus, ME on Jan. 27, 1933 a son of the late Perley and Stella (Lorom) Rogers.

Barney was a longtime resident of Merrimack and was the caretaker for Camp Naticook for 45 years before the camp was sold to the Town of Merrimack in 1989 and renamed Wasserman Park. He continued on as caretaker for another 14 years.

Barney is survived by his wife of 62 years, Connie Rogers of Merrimack; two sons, Scott Rogers and Mark and his wife Penny Rogers; three daughters, Susan Oakman and her husband Dennis, Amy Farland and her husband Chuck, and Beth Rogers; nine grandchildren, Stephan and Allyssa Oakman, Krystal and Jessica Rogers, Bailey and her husband Andre Felix, Cord and Willow Farland, and Devon and Keara Venne; two sisters, Bea Lombard and Verda Logan and many nieces and nephews.

There are no funeral services.
