Marie Claire Kiestlinger

Marie Claire Kiestlinger, 88, of Merrimack, NH, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, May 28, 2015, at the Kindred Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua after a period of declining health.

Born in Laconia, NH, Claire was a daughter of the late J. Alfred and Aurore Paquette. She was a graduate of Laconia High School and went on to Northampton Business College in Northampton, MA. Claire was employed by the New England Telephone Co., affectionately referred to as “Ma Bell,” for over 30 years.

In 1953, Claire married Edward L. Kelton Jr., with whom she shared eighteen wonderful years. Claire and Ed had three children. Ed passed away in 1971. After twelve years raising her children, Claire married Henry Kiestlinger in July of 1983 and spent time between Merrimack and Daytona, FL. Henry died in 1999.

Claire leaves a son, Lance, and his wife, Tracy, of Merrimack; a daughter, Noreen, and her husband, Kevin Johnson, of Londonderry; and a daughter, Karen, and her husband, Tony Jimenez, of Merrimack. She is also survived by a stepson, Dan, and his wife, Marsha Kiestlinger, of Londonderry; and a stepdaughter, Louise, and her husband, Pierre Nadeau, of Hollis; and two sisters, Marie Varle, of Manchester, and Patricia Paquette, of Laconia. She was predeceased by Norman Paquette.

Claire was blessed with eleven grandchildren: Derek, Megan, who passed away in 1989, Marissa and Adam Jimenez, Alan and Kailey Johnson, Noah Kelton, Katie Gendron, Ryan Nadeau,
Diana Pettis and Laura Howe, and ten great-grandchildren.

Claire lived life to the fullest. Her greatest loves in life were spending time with her family, dancing and traveling. She also loved to knit and bowl.

Calling hours were held in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH, Sunday, May 31, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, Monday, June 1, 2015.
