Anne C. Sinclair

Anne C. Sinclair 87, of Merrimack, NH died peacefully Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015 in Manchester, NH.

A long time resident of the Philadelphia area, Anne was the youngest daughter of Samuel J. and Anna C. (Speers) Sinclair of South Philadelphia and Secane.

Anne worked for several decades for Bell Telephone in Philadelphia and Wilmington, moving from operator to management across her career. She retired early, and devoted herself to others by working for a deaf hearing organization and then as an aide on a school bus. She was active in her church wherever she lived, including Princeton Presbyterian, and more recently at Faith Episcopal Church in Merrimack, NH. Anne loved the beach, spending many summers in Ocean City, NJ or Rehoboth Beach, DE and traveling with friends. Her favorite experience was being on the Olympic Torch Relay and she was the best scrabble scorekeeper ever. Beloved aunt to the children of her sister the late Betty L. Henking; and brothers, the late Raymond and William; and devoted friend of many, Anne was a generous volunteer for the Telephone Pioneers of America, American Cancer Society Daffodil Days, Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts and Elliot Hospital. Anne was predeceased by her parents, siblings and nephew Richard; and is survived by her nieces Pat Henking and her partner Lise of Merrimack, NH, Susan Henking and her partner Betty Bayer of Geneva, NY, Carolyn Sinclair of Clifton Heights, PA; nephew Donald Sinclair and his wife Nancy, of Fountain Valley, CA and their families.

A Memorial service will be held in Faith Epicopal Church, 590 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH on Sat., Aug 15, 2015 at 1 PM.
