Eric J. Ostman

Eric J. Ostman, 55, of Merrimack, NH and Weare, NH died Saturday Sept. 17th, 2016 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA after a brief illness.

He was born in Clinton, MA on March 10, 1961, a son of Sandra L. (Carkin) Ostman of Merrimack and the late Barry I. Ostman.

Eric was a longtime resident of Merrimack and was a graduate of Merrimack High School class of 1979.

He was working at Piano Arts in Hooksett as a Piano Technician, restoring pianos and player pianos and volunteered at the Capital Center of the Arts and at Bank of NH Pavilion, the former Meadowbrook. He attended blues festivals with lifelong friends, and enjoyed live music, his container garden, and making unique craft beer.

He is pre-deceased by a brother David Ostman, who died May 6, 2016.

He is survived by his mother, his brother Jeffrey, and many cousins and friends.

Calling hours were held in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday, September 22nd from 11 AM – 1 PM. A memorial service followed in the funeral home chapel at 1 PM. Burial will be held privately at a later date, a the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Granite State Blues Society, the Joslin Diabetes Center of Boston, or the charity of your choice.
