Alexander MacPherson, 72, of Merrimack, NH, and former longtime resident of Annabel St., Dorchester, MA, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016.
He was born in Newton, MA, on May 18, 1944, a son of the late Angus and Miriam (McGarry) MacPherson.
Alexander was a U.S. Navy Veteran and before retirement, he was employed as a mechanic for McLean’s Hospital in Belmont, MA.
He is the widower of Frances L. MacPherson, who died Feb. 9, 2015, and is also predeceased by two sisters Eileen Flood, and Carol MacPherson, and also one niece Jeanne Bogan.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Christina St. Peter of Braintree, MA, and Wayne and Tracie St. Peter of Nashua, NH; two daughters and a son-in-law, Frances St. Peter and Lisa and Bill Armstrong, all of Merrimack, NH; six grandchildren TaylorAnn Boutin, Jocelyn, Shelby, Shannon, Geoffrey and Samantha St. Peter; and great-
grandfather to Wyatt and Olivia Boutin; four sisters Mary Wakelin, Lona Murphy, Karen MacPherson and Renie Rogers; a brother Bill MacPherson; several nieces and nephews and godfather to Nicole Badiali of Venice, Fl. He also leaves behind his closest, dearest friend and fishing companion John Badiali, of Englewood, Fl.
He was an avid fisherman with a love for the sea and now rests with his greatest catch.
Calling hours will be in the Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, from 2-6 PM. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions may be made to any Veterans organizations of one’s choice.
