Joseph Michael Peter DiMartino

Joseph Michael Peter DiMartino, 57, of Merrimack, NH passed away unexpectedly on Monday October 24th, 2016.

He was born in Cambridge, MA on July 31, 1959 to Edna and the late Richard DiMartino.

Joseph graduated from Merrimack High School in 1977. After graduating, he started his career in the meat industry and was a manager at Market Basket for the past 16 years.

Joseph was an amazing athlete throughout his whole life. He passed along his passion for baseball to his two children. He was such a proud father, he never missed a game. He loved cooking, especially when it was for his large Italian family.

He was known for his sense of humor and his artistic ability. Joseph was a dedicated New England sports fan. His happiest times were when he was surrounded by his family and friends.

Joseph will be truly missed by his entire family and all who had the opportunity to know and love him.

He was a loving father to his children, Tyler & Sara DiMartino.

Joseph was pre-deceased by his father, Richard A. DiMartino on June 27th, 2016.

Surviving members of his family include his two loving children, Tyler & Sara DiMartino and former wife, Nancy Mercier; his mother, Edna C. DiMartino; a brother, David R. DiMartino; five sisters, Cheryl A. Henderson, Cynthia M. Chesnulevich, Maureen C. Arthur, Joanne M Albani and Jennifer D. Bates, along with many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Friday October 28th from 4 – 7 PM. A funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Saturday October 29th at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
