Valerie J. Quayle

Valerie J. Quayle, 63, of Merrimack passed away on Monday May 22nd, 2017 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Cambridge, MA on August 30, 1953 to the late Harry and Violet (Chetwynd) Egner. She worked as a sales clerk at Cummings, Poor-Simons for many years before retiring.

Valerie was a member of the Merrimack VFW Post 8641 Auxiliary, and had worked for over 20 years as a volunteer at the VA hospital in Manchester.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Steven Egner.

Surviving members of her family include her loving husband, Max Quayle; two sons, Mark Healey of Acton, ME and Keith Healey of Amherst, NH; three grandchildren, Elijah, Nichole, and Sarah Healey; a sister, Susan Hall of South Berwick, ME, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends were kindly invited to attend calling hours at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday May 25th from 4 – 8 PM. The VFW Auxiliary performed their ceremony at 6 PM.
