Mary E. Richardson

Mary E. Richardson, 78, of Merrimack, and former longtime resident of South Boston, MA, passed away on Thursday, October 5th, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Boston, MA on December 6th, 1938 to the late James McCarthy and Ruth A.(Najarian) McCarthy Connolly.

Mary worked for New England Telephone for many years before her retirement in 1991.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a son, John Solletti, and two siblings, Helen “Honey” Cronin and Jimmy McCarthy of South Boston.

Surviving members of her family include three children, Patricia and her husband Michael LeClair, Kathleen and her husband Doug Civiello, and Frank Solletti; seven grandchildren, Michael LeClair and his wife Alysha, Meaghan LeClair, Shannyn and Sam Civiello, Olivia Solletti, and Kyla and Molly Solletti; one great-granddaughter, Ava LeClair; four siblings, Ann McCarthy, Florence Wallace, Coleman Connolly, and Ruth Connolly; a daughter-in-law, Shannon Solletti and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 14 at 11 AM at St. Brigid Church, 845 E. Broadway, Boston, MA 02127.
