Scouts appreciate program support
To the Editor:
The scouts of Bedford NH Troop 414 would like to thank the citizens of Bedford for their generous donations of food items in support of Scouting for Food. This year, the Town of Bedford contributed over 6,500 food items that were donated to various food banks throughout the state. It was a successful drive.
The success of this drive wouldn’t have been possible without the contributions of many members of the community. First, we would like to thank the entire Bedford scouting community. The scouts from Boy Scout Troop 5, Cub Scout Packs 5 and 114 and the Girls Scouts of Bedford all made major contributions. Thank you also to Contemporary Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep of Milford for their generous donation of a cargo van to transport the food. Finally, thank you to the Thomas family, the Bedford Presbyterian Church and Metropolis Realty who allowed the use of their property to post our signs.
The entire Bedford Scouting community should be proud of our effort. We made a difference.
