Bell ringing concert for Special Olympics

To the Editor:

At the Dec. 14 Knights of Columbus council meeting, Grand Knight Mark Barnard and Bill Toolin presented a check in the amount of $4,739 to five of our local Special Olympians – Crystal Carruth, Russell Mosman, Laura Lemire, Courtney Jennerjohn and Chris Panarese. These athletes represent our more than 200 local Special Olympians from the Manchester and Bedford area. All of the funds raised will go directly to local programs.

Over 400 individuals were in attendance at the Bell Ringing concert. It was a fantastic night of entertainment. Santa Claus (A-Train) surprised us towards the end of the show to announce the winner of the 50/50 raffle. Chris Panarese and Courtney Jennerjohn were our masters of ceremonies for the evening. Great job by all! Thank you to all who were in attendance.

We received support from many St. Elizabeth Seton Parishioners in addition to strong support from our KofC Council. This event would not have been nearly as successful without their support. Many other local organizations also participated in this event. This was truly a team effort!

I would also like to thank the parents, relatives, providers of the athletes who were able to support and attend our event. We had a good turnout and I appreciate seeing the familiar faces! Also, thank you to the members of our volunteer group who also attended and supported the event. I very much appreciate your help.

I hope all of you and your families have a wonderful Christmas Holiday.
