Bedford service members sought

To the Editor:

Join with your fellow military service members at the Bedford American Legion Post 54 in maintaining the camaraderie of being an honorably discharged service member from active duty, reserve or guard unit.

In addition to the camaraderie by being a member you can keep abreast of governmental regulations that may affect you as a veteran. As a member you can also join with us in various programs supporting our community.

Recently, Post 54 made donations to the Bedford Presbyterian Church and Saint Elizabeth Church to support their Christmas food basket program. In addition, a $100 donation was made to the Toys-for-Tots program supporting the Marines in the purchase of gifts for children between the ages of 12 and 16 for which very few gifts are collected.

We encourage you to join with your fellow military associates at Post 54. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at the Bedford Library at 19:30. Our meetings are concise and usually last less than one hour.
