Fundraiser host appreciated

To the Editor:

The Friends of the Stevens-Buswell Community Center (a subcommittee of the Bedford Historical Society) wanted to thank the Mystic Images Salon and Spa in Amherst for hosting our "Drinkable Arts" FUNdraiser in April. With the help of Sherry Hoffman of Drinkable Arts the group created some beautiful and unique hand painted glassware and we had so much fun doing it! A big thank you for the door prizes donated by M. Mills Co., The Skin Care Jewelry and Drinkable Arts.

The Friends group is raising money to rehabilitate the early 20th century Stevens-Buswell School for use as a community center for the Bedford residents of all ages. As well as being a meeting place for Bedford organizations, plans include a research library where the public will be able to do genealogical and historical research. The building is located in Bedford’s historic town center at 18 North Amherst Road (near the Bedford town offices).
