A letter to Senator Jeanne Shaheen

To the Editor:

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen says she is now concerned about what is happening in New Hampshire because of Obamacare.

In a recent letter the senator sent to HHS Secretary Sebelius, she says, “I am concerned that in some areas of my state, the choice of a robust provider network may not be available, as only one insurer is currently participating in New Hampshire’s federally facilitated marketplace.”

We now have 10 of our hospitals excluded from participation.

Sen. Shaheen, did you forget you were the 60th deciding vote that gave us this mess in New Hampshire? You gave speeches, “If you like your insurance, you can keep it.” This prompted PolitiFact to make this the “Lie of the Year.”

No amount of concern from you now, will change the fact that you supported President Obama and Nancy Pelosi. You voted for a bill you did not read. Your allegiance is to Washington politics, and not to the people back home.

I am concerned that we made a bad choice sending you to Washington. Hopefully, we can make a better choice in November.
