Thank you for successful library fundraiser

To the Editor:

Another successful Trivia Night took place on Saturday, March 18, raising more than $4,500 for the Amherst Town Library.

The board of directors would like to extend a huge thank you to Hampshire Hills Athletic Club for the generous donation of their space for our event.

Event coordinator Lisa MacKay did an amazing job at organizing the menu and preparing her servers and kitchen staff for this fun and very busy night.

Porter Dodge, our outstanding emcee, took hold of the night with charm and patience, and we loved working with him! Thank you, Porter!

Also, thank you to our local sponsors who contributed to our wonderful prize raffle:

Moulton’s Market.

The Mile Away Restaurant.

The Flying Butcher.

Longhorn Steakhouse.

Toadstool Bookshops.

Hampshire Hills Salon.

Amherst Garden Center.

Dovetail Dental.

Pearl Restaurant.

Black Forest Cafe.

J.M. Princewell.

County Stores.

LaBelle Winery.

Congratulations to the winning team of the night, the Fells Connection. The Fells have returned year after year, and are fierce yet humble competitors. This year, they generously donated their cash winnings directly back to the library. Thank you, Fells team members, your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Thank you to all 18 teams who participated; we hope that you all return next year for a fun and challenging sixth year!

Finally, the night would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our Friends of the Library volunteers. Months of preparation go into this night, and our wonderful volunteers are the reason for its continued success. Thank you. We look forward to next year!
