Your letter carriers thank you

To the Editor:

On May 13, the U.S. Postal Service held the 25th annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Locally, the towns of Milford, Amherst, Mont Vernon, Brookline and Wilton participated. Thousands of pounds of food were distributed to charities.

On behalf of the National Association of Letter Carriers, I would like to thank all postal workers and volunteers who made this year’s drive a success.

Special thanks go to Share and to the Wilton and Brookline pantries. Also, thanks to Dave Boissonnault, Heidi Bothwell, Don Calderara, Mike Sauta, Donald McGettigan, Jim Bell and the Boy Scouts of Milford Troop 4: James Bell, Andrew Burns, Andrew Mullen and Jonathan Evans, with leaders Mr. and Mrs. Parker.

Thanks to County Stores, A-Tech Auto and Cardoza Flooring for announcing the drive on their signs.

Finally, thanks to all of the generous people who donated so much to help their community.

See you next May!
