Holiday shows set
I would like to inform your readers of three upcoming Holiday concerts coming up very soon, that I feel they will really enjoy:
• Hollis Town Band & Christmas Chorus will perform a holiday concert at the Hollis-Brookline High School (off Rte. 122 in Hollis) at 7 p.m., Saturday. Our 65-piece band will perform some music on their own, as well as accompanying the chorus on several pieces they will be singing. Our chorus this year is the largest ever, with 47 singers registered. As usual, this is my favorite of all the concerts I perform in this time of year! Admission is at least one non-perishable food item to be used to make up Christmas baskets for the needy.
• Souhegan Valley Chorus will perform their winter concert at the Souhegan High School in Amherst starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday. I can honestly say that I enjoy singing every piece we are performing this year. It will be a great conclusion to a day of Christmas celebration in Amherst. Admission is $15 for adults, and $10 for seniors and students. No charge for children under 12.
• The Milford United Methodist Church will perform an all-church concert at the church on N. River road, beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17. All musical groups will perform, including the church concert band, the chancel choir, the handbell choir, and the praise band. This will also be a wonderful concert, and it is free. There will also be refreshments immediately follow.
Come to any, or all, of these concerts, to help celebrate this joyous holiday season.
