Thank you from the Greater YMCA of Nashua
To the Editor:
The YMCA of Greater Nashua held its 11th annual and Gala on Friday, Nov. 1.
Our auction, which raised nearly $80,000, was successful because of the generosity of many individuals and businesses in the Greater Nashua community. These friends of the Y realize that the YMCA meets critical social needs. We had the support of hundreds of people to make this happen.
Even during economic downturns, the YMCA’s mission stays strong: Providing programs, membership opportunities and community services that strengthen spirit, mind and body for all.
As more Americans turn to charity during times of economic challenges, we at the YMCA want to reinforce that our programs and services are for all. We raise dollars through our annual campaign to stay true to our mission. Last year, we awarded more than $490,000 to approximately 2,700 individuals in our community.
The YMCA of Greater Nashua would like to thank all of our community friends. A special thank you goes to our lead auction sponsor, Brookstone. We would additionally like to acknowledge and thank our 2013 auction major sponsors Microdesk, Centrix Bank, St. Mary’s Bank, Enterprise Bank, Bellwether Community Credit Union, Landmark Benefits, World Academy and Spring Hill Catering.
People helping people is really what makes our community special – and for that we give thanks.
