Important dates for Brookline residents

To the Editor:

I wanted to take a moment and alert Brookline residents to four important dates that are quickly approaching – and seek your participation in them.

March is the month of annual School and Town Meetings and the opportunity for voters to make their opinions and choices known. Please mark your calendars for these upcoming meetings. If you have never attended an annual meeting, please make this the year that you experience the unique tradition of a New England town/school meeting:

? Co-op School District – Monday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the high school

? Brookline School District – Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. at Captain Samuel Douglas Academy

? All day voting for town/school positions – Tuesday, March 11 at Captain Samuel Douglas Academy from 7 a.m.–7:30 p.m.

? Town Meeting – Wednesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. at Captain Samuel Douglas Academy

The Annual Town/School Report will be available at Town Hall and on the town website no later than Friday, Feb. 28. The report details each item to be voted on at the upcoming meetings, as well as significant information on the past year’s operations of both the town and the schools.

We hope to see you at the meetings!
