Hollis trails closed for mud season

To the Editor:

The Hollis trails are closed for mud season to horses and mountain bikers.

This is done to protect the trails from being torn up until they dry out. Also, due to the deep frost, the trails will have minor sink holes that will have to be repaired for everyone’s safety.

On another note, dog walkers if your dog poops in the middle of the trail where people walk or ride, clean it up. If your dog is aggressive, keep it on leash or stay home. Their has been an increase of dog walkers over the past few years on the trails and in order to keep everyone safe, be a responsible dog owner and control and clean up after your dog.
