Lioness of Merrimack thanks residents

To the Editor:

We would like to thank the many residents who took names from our trees for Operation Santa and purchased gifts for the needy.

We are given a list each year from the Welfare Department of those in need. We do not know the identity of these people, we are only given an assigned number.

So many of you purchased clothing, toys and gift cards to help make Christmas a little brighter for those less fortunate. A thank you goes out to the following locations who had a tree: the Merrimack Post Office, Merrimack Public Library, Frank’s Place, Total Chiropractic, Merrimack Vision, Hot Rize, Gold’s Gym – Merrimack, Gold’s Gym – Nashua, and Hairthurium. We received monetary donations from the Merrimack Fire Department, the Merrimack Lions Club and Hanson’s Automotive. Also, we’d like to thank students from Mastricola Middle School who bought gifts under the direction of Diane Nocella.

Rosehaven a group home located in Merrimack for elderly residents, were also recipients of your generosity. Three members of our club attended a Christmas lunch and presented the residents with their Christmas gifts.
