Thank you for support of MHS hockey
To the Editor:
The Merrimack High School boys varsity ice hockey program would like to thank the residents of Merrimack whose generosity this fall will once again help to subsidize the non-school-covered costs of running the program.
The team, through its booster club, holds several fundraising events each fall in anticipation of the coming season. Two of these events are canning at the transfer station in October and Shaw’s (North) in November. Each year we are amazed by the generosity shown to the team by the residents of our great town and appreciate how fortunate we are to live in such a supportive community.
The fundraising proceeds are used on several fronts to help defer costs for various expenses such as off-ice training, required team equipment, practice jerseys, video production and the year-end banquet/awards night among many others. Without your support and generosity, much of this is harder to accomplish.
So, thank you to everyone who donated and to the transfer station and Shaw’s (North) for letting us use the respective facility to hold the events. We hope to see you at a game this winter.
